In addition to version365's screenshot, please note that adding a link into Vripper doesn't leave a like, you need to actually start the download process for it to leave a like. I'm only mentioning this because in the past people have added links and they have not seen the like at the bottom of the post upon refreshing. If you start the download process and reload the page, you will see your like.

You're correct. Leaving likes upon simply adding the link to VRipper used to exist in the older versions. Maybe that's where the confusion comes from.
I personally use 3.5.4h & it still leaves like upon just adding link.

IIRC, the change of leaving likes when starting the download started from version 5 onwards.

Hello... I downloaded VRipper 6.9.1 for MacOS, and also the portable one, although I don't understand the difference. When I open the portable one it disappears. The non-portable one appears on my screen.
When I click the download icon in the upper right of any given post, Pale Moon gives me only this message:

The address wasn't understood.
Pale Moon doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (vr) isn't associated with any program.
• You might need to install other software to open this address.
(Try Again button, which does nothing)

In Chrome clicking the download icon does nothing. What am I missing?

VRipper does work if I copy and paste a link into it, but that's hardly optimal compared to click-and-go. And, the IMX links I've tried so far are incredibly slow.

This is my first time using VRipper in several years. It worked like a charm in Windows, but I only use Mac now. Pale Moon has ImageHost Grabber, which usually works pretty well, but I'd like to see if VRipper fares better in certain situations. Thanks in advance for suggestions!

The download button on the top right corner of any post is for a different program called Viper Ripper, not VRipper.

Edit: Oh wait.. Viper Ripper is only for windows.. you are on Mac. Yeah sorry, you can't use that button unless on windows.
There are other methods though.. You can try the userscript method. It has a download button, also works on any device where Firefox is supported. https://vipergirls.to/threads/15850288-Br...r-Downloader

Edit2: Currently for a Mac, there is no single downloader where you get everything you want. You have to use combinations depending on hosts. The userscript method I mentioned above works very well, but it has problems with fetching original filenames; so, not exactly perfect. Palemoon + IHG is kinda slow sometimes. Latest VRipper has a lot of other problems.

Today I found that both gallery-dl and VRipper v.6.5.8 stopped working with Vipergirls's links 🤔.

Go to the installation folder. There you will see another folder named vripper. Open it. Find folder db, open it. There will be a file named vripper.script.

Right click on it & open with any text editor. The links to the added posts on VRipper will be there. It's not a simply list though.. you will have to manually find & copy the links & add them again.
Or, you can also copy the vripper.script file into the new directory after reinstalling VRipper.
