I don't know what the hit rate is.. but personally I use 5 or less single links when adding to VRipper.

There is also some problem with VRipper using new connections for every single task instead of re-utilizing an existing connection.. therefore making the allowed number of connections to VG much higher than needed.

If you're using a popular VPN, then it might be that you're sharing ip address with others & they are exhausting the limit of connections. In that case, try without VPN. And if you HAVE to use vpn, use 5 or less single links at a time.

Is your drive low on disk space? I see this:

Pixhost is now banned in my country. What's the easiest way to download the galleries please? I can see them by turning on Firefox VPN but no way to download. Downthemall doesn't work, it gets fed dummy images. I tried a couple of system-wide VPNs but that got very techy and I couldn't get it to work.

I'd recommend connecting your VPN to a non-UK IP and giving ImageHostGrabber with Pale Moon a try - that's what works for me.
