Yeah, it's a trade-off. Imperfections added using a Lora are inconsistent. Using natural imperfections in the original source images would be nice, but the process I use doesn't capture them well.

The work is good. I don't even know where to start if I wanted to do things like these. I like that the pics are large scale so there is no pixelating when zooming in because they are zoomed in already. The only thing I would suggest is to back off the view so the subject isn't cut off at the borders of the pic. Look at the recent set of Lizzie Wang. Her head is clipped in every pic. You could back off and be able to show more of her and the background without degrading the pic itself. It's just a suggestion. As I said, I don't know where to start to do things like these, so I may be full of shit.

Thanks, I've settled on a process that gives me 6 to 7 megapixel images to upload. Decent size without too much distortion being introduced in the upscale process.

And you're right, the sets in this thread could use some more variety in viewing angles. I'm all about the faces and the best face results are when I ask for something like a "close up headshot photo" with a 3:4 aspect ratio. In 90% of the images I post I haven't done any cropping, it's just what the image generator has decided a "close up headshot photo" should look like.

Interestingly, those AI results pretty closely reflect my style from back in the days when I used something called a "camera" to shoot images like these. Like the AI, I didn't mind chopping off some body parts.
