I'm having problems with Viper Ripper as well. It appears that DDoS on imx.to galleries is the problem.
Yeah, Viper Ripper is not working for me as well. It's been like this since I checked last week.

Because imx is DDOS protected, it can't download imx links. Sometimes it just doesn't activate DDOS protection and downloads some of the images on its own. This isn't a problem with Viperripper, but with imx itself. As far as I understand, imx doesn't want ripper apps to be used. They've added an additional security layer to prevent ripper apps.
Viperripper downloads three images simultaneously by default. Change this to one in your connection settings. Trying to download multiple images simultaneously can trigger DDOS protection. This at least slightly increases the chance of success. I was able to rip an entire gallery in a few tries with these settings.
Switch to VRipper 6.5.4, it can download imx galleries without problem.
Vipergirls.to is blocked in my country, so Vripper doesn't work. Even though I select proxies that work in my country from the settings, it still doesn't work due to Cloudflare verification. For some reason, I was using Viperripper, which works.

I am guessing you're using the proxies for posting comment here then. In that case, I would recommend you to use the Palemoon + ImageHostGrabber method. Palemoon is a firefox-based browser & IHG is an add-on for that. Since it's a browser, you won't face the blocked issue cause you can just use proxies. Cloudfare verification isn't gonna be problem either, because it's an add-on. It takes the verification cookie from the browser.. you can verify within the browser & you're good.
Also, if you don't mind answering.. what country is it that's blocking vipergirls?

There are certain problems with both IMX & VRipper. Would you mind saying what gallery were you trying to download so that I can pinpoint the problem?

yep, images on i006 server of imx isn't loading at all.
Although, VRipper also has a problem I just found out yesterday. It can't download from old links that has imx.to/img-[random_string].html style url instead of the new imx.to/[random_string] style url.
