Hi people...anyone having trouble to load the VR Ripper...it says Exiting, try deleting User folder-reinstall does not help

I just started getting the error message at startup that Renzokuken was seeing last month. Reinstalling doesn't help. The message suggests deleting the 'user' folder, but I don't see a folder with that name. Any suggestions?

Try portable version or use palemoon + IHG.
The job is done either way.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I solved the problem another way. I deleted the %APPDATA%\ViperRipper folder. I was then able to start the program. I just had to reenter my preferences. I guess this was the 'user' folder being referred to in the error message. It could have been more specific.

Hello,
Lately VR is downloading images slower than usual. My connection is alright, and other downloads (from mega, etc) work fine, as do the uploadings, so it's not an issue of my connection.
I have tried to delete the software and installing again, but it's the same.
Any idea?

Well, through various tests I have found out that this was NOT a VR problem !!
See, I download to an external disk, and the thing was malfunctioning, I changed the disk and it works fine (no, the disk wasn't full). Now the "problem" is to copy all the data in that disk, but I think that it will be fine (I am repairing that disk right now).

Am kinda building a viper ripper clone for myself, just for fun, but i would like to know why the old one is not maintained anymore ?
Is it legal issues with hosts or the developer cannot maintain it anymore ?
