Anybody else finding it absolutely impossible to download anything at all uncorrupted from K2S?

are your dls getting dropped before they can finish also? i thought it was just me! i wrote to those assholes before about how this keeps happening and they claimed it wasn't their servers

It's definitely not just you and it's definitely their problem not yours. No-one has been able to complete a successful download from any of K2S/TEZ/FB for over a week now. They will go for a little bit and then stall. This can go on for hundreds of resumes until finally they'll just give up and crap out completely. Of course in cases like this thread where the downloads are mostly RAR archives, if you do have the patience to resume the download through at least 20 restarts, what you get at the end is so corrupted by all the restarts, you'll be lucky to get maybe one or two uncorrupted files out of the archive.

this issue seems to happen to them once every few months. i did a cheap sub last week thinking it'd overcome the issue but nope. i'd have a throttled dl going only to see it drop and get told server error when i try to resume. i'll write them tomorrow to eff em about how they've basically cheated me because im not only not getting the promised speed but the dls drop and i can't resume and have to start over only to see my quota get eaten up

A download manager might help, granted i haven't tried it with RAR archives but i struggled with Harleys video for some time but got there in the end. Had to manually start the download back up but it did finish and seems to play without issue.

no it won't. the last time this happened earlier this year every rar that jdownloader resumed everytime it stalled and cut off ended up corrupted

i've emailed their support blasting them. let's see what those idiots say

The situation is so bad with K2S/TEZ/FB now I'm actually seeking out Filejoker and RapidGator mirror links instead. You really know things have gone drastically downhill when you're looking for FJ + RG to get some reliability in downloading!

agreed same here. and the support staff just wrote back and are playing dumb w me. tell u what. dm me what u're encountering and i'll include it in the reply to them

I strongly suspect they know exactly what's going on and it's by design/intentional. I think the frustration they're causing is to 'encourage' free users to become paid ones instead in a belief that will solve the 'congestion problems' they're mimicking with these confected failed downloads. This theory is only strengthened by the gaslighting they're engaging in when you contact them. The problem is not them, it's you. No other customers are experiencing the problems you report etc. It's all just outright lies designed to have you questioning yourself so that you cough up money in exasperation, at which point they win because they've now got your money and you're never getting it back again.

I suspect all three K2S/TEZ/FB are owned by either Russians or Middle East entities and are therefore as trustworthy as a strung out weasel with a drug habit. It may even be the case that by e-mailing them your frustations, you're actually telling them their strategy is working and confirming to them they should keep doing this periodically to encourage paid user sign-ups.

first. they're dutch. and 2nd this is happening to me even as a paid subber. why do you think i can tell them to their face they're cheating me? i encourage u to write in and tell them u're also encountering the issue. the more people write in the more they can't deny everything is honky dory

They can see for themselves what's happening. They know very well what they're doing. They don't need anyone to tell them. They control the servers and they can the connections to them and they can see when those connections are getting kicked off. This is all perfectly visible to them. It's no mystery to them, they know what they're doing.

The problem does not concern all their servers, but about one server out of three.
On Firefox, the download resume works well unlike Chromium-based browsers. The only constraints are:
1) the last allowed resume must be done within 24 hours
2) The partial file re-reading must be done in less than 60s. It is better to use an SSD disk because the resume after 1.5-2Gb will be difficult on a classic hard drive especially if it is not defragmented and/or several downloads are in progress
It is better to disable the antivirus or include *.filestore.app inf the safe sites of the antivirus because the antivirus creates small partial tempory files to be scanned before releasing it to firefox and increases the complexity of the recovery
