Yes she is. The beautiful and multitalented Aaliyah was born Jan 16th 1979 and died in a plane crash Aug 25th 2001. Along with being a successful recording artist she also had many notable TV appearences and 2 film roles : Romeo must Die and Queen of the Dammed. I found this pic with caption and title going thru archives.
