Who Is She?

Samantha Harris co-anchors "Extra’s" one-hour weekend edition and is a primary correspondent for the daily show. She joined the series in November 2003.
Harris has previously worked as a writer, producer and host for a multitude of television and radio series. In 2003, she hosted FOX’s prime-time reality dating show, "The Next Joe Millionaire." That same year, Harris guest hosted on ABC’s "The View" alongside Barbara Walters. Prior to that, Harris served as anchor for American Movie Classics’ entertainment newsmagazine "AMC Access," TBS’ "The Man-Made Movie" and "Buzz LA" for Los Angeles’ KSLX-FM radio station. She began her career as a field producer and entertainment news writer/reporter for the UPN-owned KMSP-TV in Minneapolis, MN.
In addition to her broadcast career, Harris has appeared twice on the cover of Muscle & Fitness Hers and has been featured in Men’s Fitness, SELF and SHAPE magazines.
A graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Harris was born and raised in Minnesota. An outdoor-enthusiast, accomplished singer and dancer, Harris currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, with her fiancé, Michael, and their dog, Barkley.
