1) Download from K2S - no problems (thanks MsCC).
2) Rip from IMX using IHG (Image Host Grabber) - also no problem (IHG won't work with all browsers; I use Pale Moon, which is fine).

My opinion is that vipr is a shit fucking host. It is an affiliate, but the owners have blocked Viper Ripper. Therefore, a person needs a different ripper to download from it. That's fine if a person doesn't mind looking for and downloading a shit ton of other programs. This is ViperGirls, though, and one shouldn't have to go searching for other rippers just to download from here.

I don't have any problems downloading from imx using ViperRipper (portable). Recent sets download faster than older sets because of the way imx has configured their servers. It may take several tries to download older posts, but eventually all photos will download.

This has been my experience too. I have zero issues, all my uploads are quick and very rarely I face upload errors. I can view and download my own and others' IMX uploads.

As an uploader, main issue I faced with vipr is it just eats too much RAM while uploading, sometimes uploads just hang and then cancel

The only host that VRipper 3.0.11 doesn't work with for me is imagebam. the rest work, vipr is the best for it. imx stalls alot.

Although I love to hear myself type opinions on picture hosts, I came for lovely Lana Lane and don't want to steal her thunder as she is the star of this show. Thank you for Lana, MsCC!

I find that:

• IMX.to seems to be by far the easiest, quickest, most stable host to upload to and allows the largest file sizes, 30mb I think. It is by far the worst, slowest, and least stable host to view pictures on and download from, and by design gets progressively worse the more you view and download from. I'd prefer a root canal than try to view and download stuff hosted on IMX.to. That said, I'd much rather fight with great content hosted on IMX.to than not have that content at all. Final verdict: Excellent only for uploaders.
   
• vipr.im allows almost as large of file sizes, 25mb I think, but is sometimes very unstable to upload to. Viewing and downloading pics is almost always pretty smooth. Final verdict: Probably best balance for both uploaders and downloaders.
   
• Pixhost.to to be very friendly and stable to both upload to and view & download from. Unfortunately the site thinks it's still 2014 and limits file sizes to a very disappointing 10mb. It's my most often weapon of choice but is grossly inadequate for UF and Hegre pics, among other sites' newer, higher resolution content. Final verdict: pretty good balance for both uploaders and downloaders IF you live in a world where Rebecca Black's "Friday" song is still in heavy rotation on top 40 radio.
  

There are understandable reasons to love, hate, use, and avoid all of them. That's my 2 cents. Well, actually more like 8 cents with current inflation.
