In the mid-seventies, "women's liberation" was always in the news. This movie starred Roxanne Brewer, sent undercover to infiltrate a colony of radical feminist lesbians.
It also stars Uschi Digart, and Debbie McGuire (Super Eula from Russ Meyer's Supervixens) and brief appearances by Candy Samples.This movie has special meaning to me, it was the first dirty movie I ever saw, at the Olympic drive-in theater in St. Louis. I wasn't old enough to get in, so my older buddies smuggled me in the car's trunk. The opening sequence, with the guy feeling up Roxanne was an eye-opening experience, I had never seen tits so big, and I've been a tit man ever since.
It was also one of my first experiences with hard liquor; I thought I could keep up drink for drink with the guys. I couldn't, and passed out cold shortly after Roxanne's horseback scene in the first 1/2 hour. I have been hunting for this movie ever since, and 33 years later, for the first time, I finally get to finish what I missed.

Jean-Louis Vattier dreams about his lovely downstairs neighbor, Brigitte Lahaie, although his dreams occasionally turn into nightmares involving his hard hat co-worker Dominique Aveline. One particularly strange and violent sequence is not made any more watchable by some slow motion fighting accompanied by the usual 'arousing' sax music instead of more threatening music, but this entire film is one big incomprehensible trip anyway, so the viewer had better prepare for more far out scenes. Pierre awakes to find his beautiful blond wife (although she's no Brigitte) played by Ursula White. Obviously their marriage is in trouble, with him living in a fantasy world of his own making while she, Janine, has taken a lover of the same sex (Liliane Lemieuvre as Rosette). Pierre spots Brigitte in a book store and begins to fantasize once more. The, erm, ejaculation shot is most definitely a fantasy! Then he goes home to dream about himself sharing Brigitte with his wife. Well at least he hasn't completely forgotten about his spouse. In return, she has arranged an appointment with a psychiatrist, Madame Gabrielle Dullan, an older lady, who non the less is as sexually liberated (or should that be unrestrained) as everyone else: she let's him fondle her bosom while he tells her his woes. Naturaly, he drifts off into Lalaland once more, this time also including the shrink's maid, while her employer gets to watch.

The narrator of "Perverted Passion" informs the viewer that he/she is responsible for the making of this porn film because the viewer "voted to cut government spending" (in California, where the film was shot), and thus one voyeuristic mental case with a hang-up for rape and murder is released early from an institution, and a motorcycle-riding thug is released early from prison due to these budget cuts. The two will eventually cross paths in the film. In the meantime, the mental case spies on numerous young couples having all kinds of sex, and once in a while strangles a female sex partner to death, while the escaped prisoner robs copulating couples at gunpoint.The ads read that "Perverted Passion" was "filmed in scuzz-o-rama", and it shows! Despite all the obvious silliness on display, it has to be noted that "Perverted Passion" is made with much more skill than was necessary for a film of this type. The story lines involving the voyeur and the thug are realistic, and the actors in the roles could not be more convincing. The rape-murder scenes are very vivid and real, so real as to be quite disturbing. Finally, the explicit sex scenes are performed by a very attractive cast of unknowns and the sex scenes themselves are very hot and erotic. So, "Perverted Passion" winds up being a better-than-it-needs-to-be piece of porn cinema from the days when people who made these kinds of films actually put some thought and effort into their work.

The film opens with a 30-something brown-haired woman (Ursula White) approaching the door of a house, turning back and then summoning up the courage to go in. She looks as if she could be Erika Cool's older sister, but does not have such a distinctive face. Daniele Troeger is the maid who takes her coat. She is introduced to a 30-something woman (large-ish, upturned nose, XNK0018) who runs the establishment and is shown a catalogue of men. One picture is of Richard Lemieuvre, but most are of Charlie Schreiner. She is then introduced to a near lookalike in the form of Gabriel Coez. He gives her a good time. We then see him giving a folder of documents to a mature blonde (Amanda) and asking her to sign them. Is she another client?He then goes home and Liliane Lemieuvre passes him on the stairs - she must live in the apartment above. Then Erika Cool arrives and they have sex. It is unclear whether she is a client or an employee of the 'other side' of the establishment. I suggest the last because there is then an abrupt cut to a scene by an indoor pool where Coez is receiving a massage from Elisabeth Buré (in her brunette phase) and a black girl (XNK0019, non-sex), while a couple of other girls, one being Erika Cool, frolic in the pool.Then, after an abrupt cut, we see Coez taking an oriental girl (could well be Eva Quang but at any rate XNK0032 if she is different) doggy fashion, which suddenly becomes Gabriel Pontello taking Erika Cool doggy fashion with the oriental girl taking pictures.Erika comes along to hire Coez again and there is a foursome with those two, Daniele Troeger and the madam. Another abrupt cut sees Coez with client Karine Gambier. Client Veronique Maugarski is next and exhausts him so that he has to summon Richard Lemieuvre to take over. Then he takes on the cleaner - or a client whose fantasy it is to be taken while doing the cleaning. This is the fat, middle-aged, hatchet-nosed brunette in the scene in the woods in Apotheose Porno (Gaëlle Siril).There seems to be some romantic attachement with Erika Cool as she keeps returning, and this time there's a fivesome with Richard, the madam and Daniele.
Coez and Erika leave and go back to his apartment. Liliane sees them go in and sneaks after them (they conveniently leave the door open) and there's a threesome (or does this scene come earlier?)
