Is this done intentionally due to the name change? Or more likely a coincidence?

The pictures are still there. I am guessing you are having problem seeing them cause they are on IMX. They are a little bit wonky now. Follow this instruction on what to do & then try reloading the threads again. DO NOT reload multiple threads at once or else they will temp-ban (10-15 min) your ip from accessing imx.

If you still can't access them even after doing that, tell me. I will upload the pics somewhere else.

I don't have problems with the newer IMX threads..it's the older ones.....example this is an older one from 2017
