Paris Moffer woke up early for these photos. I used to consider myself a morning person, but now it just depends on what mood I am in on a given day. Pharell Williams says that happiness is feeling like a room without a roof. We can only guess at the meaning of this metaphor. I do know that when I took Helena De Sesa to the rooftop of Brentwood Plaza on Wilshire, I was happy. Helena's smile is contagious. It was a bright hot day, but it takes a lot more than uncomfortable weather to break the spirit of this young woman. Helena has a great voice and works hard towards her singing aspirations. Kirsten Diatta stays fit. It was immediately apparent that this girl has loads of energy. Her healthy and strong exterior complements her strong character. Wearing underwear can be so unnecessary. I am glad that Bailey Rayne agrees. We ventured around Rodeo Drive for these photos. Bailey was approached by two gentlemen with the most generous intentions. One offered to take Bailey out for a smoothie whenever she had some free time. Smoothies in this upscale area could run almost ten dollars! So kind. The other guy had a bit more tact. He noticed I had a camera and asked if I had a business card. I knew right away that my photographic services were not what he sought. "Oh, you are pretty. Frankie Sedona had just arrived in L.A. when I was asked to photograph her for a popular nude/masturbation web site. I had my reservations, but it was a good offer and I figured that I could give it a shot. It was not my bag. I decided to bail from the project mid-shoot, but I had taken plenty of photos that could work for Zishy. Frankie is a sweet girl from Kansas who was ready to give the adult world a try. Anya Amsel does not buckle under the stress of doing something risque with people around. She was as cool as a cucumber when a belligerent (and probably rank) hobo asked for a hug and to get in on the photos. Anya even thought that my idea to modify her bikini top was fun. Sheez! Talk about a girl who is down for the Zishy cause. If you are guessing these photos were taken earlier in the year, you are correct. Currently, it is sweater season here. Makes me think of that meme: "The best part of Winter is ... watching it on TV from L.A." The acoustic version of "Interesting Times" by Chester French is the song on the bonus video. It is the only track I could connect with on their second album, but I was a big fan of their first.

We went for a hike and both agreed that our situation did not suck. The land was parched due to the drought here in California, but we also had no job or class to report to on this day. Guess you just gotta appreciate the positive in life and not dwell on the negative. For instance, most of us can celebrate the fact that we were not choked to death by a cop this week. Chelsea Waltzer is pure energy. Love her, hate her, she is still going to be who she is. I could have attempted to make this a typical Zishy update when I took these photos. But when you are on a roller coaster, I have learned that it is best not to fight the experience. Feel the fear, taste it, shout right back at its face with wild enthusiasm. You'll enjoy it better that way. As chaotic as it can be, spending time with a person like Chelsea is a gift. Most people you will forget right after you meet them. That is unlikely to happen with Chelsea. Sometimes I need a Tazmanian Devil to come around and stir shit up.

The moment I saw Romi and Raylene on another site, I knew they were something special. Just about every aspect of them is interesting. They are near 6-feet tall, thin, beautiful, entertaining, and adventurous. They were in Cali because they had an itch to take a road trip across the country. I am personally fascinated by the bond Romi and Raylene share. It seems there are no barriers between the sisters. In many ways, I regard them as a single entity, but admittedly, I will never fully understand their connection nor how it feels to hold such a closeness with another individual. Hence, my fascination. Security told us to stop taking photos about five minutes after arriving at the Getty Villa. So we continued, and we were told to stop again. And we continued, then we left. Dee Dee Lynn visited me at a friend's place in Palm Desert. My friend is an artist with an amazing talent for painting. He generously allowed some of his pieces to be shown here. Art is a tough game that relies heavily on marketing and public perception. Peter Lik just sold a print for 6.5 million dollars. I could not set a price tag that high with a straight face on anything I will ever produce. But perhaps there is more comedy to art than I can comprehend, and/or plenty of drugs. For now, I will stick to taking sexy photos of incredible women like Dee Dee. By the way, how many of you would be bold enough to hang a large print of a Zishy photo on your wall?
