The default domain in VRipper is not wrong. The Primary Domain of this site is vipergirls (dot) to.

You are logged in to the site using an Alternative Domain: viper (dot) to.

The Primary Domain is not censored. All links to the site in posts and PMs are automatically rewritten to match the domain you used to login to the site. In your case, that is viper (dot) to.

If you wish to avoid all this, then logout of viper (dot) to and re-login using vipergirls (dot) to. If you do that, remember to change VRipper back to the Primary Domain.

The domain rewriting discussion has been moved to its own thread.

    Suggestion to theghooost…

VRipper's default Viper Domain could be [Automatic]. This means that whenever you paste a link into VRipper, it automatically checks the domain, and if it's on the list, it switches to that domain.

This would help users who aren't familiar with the multiple domains system and don't realize we need to change that setting.

    Re: VRipper (Cross-platform Gallery Ripper)

    5 feature suggestions for theghooost…

    1. PLEASE can we double-click on an item to "Open containing folder"? VRipper used to do this many years ago. Better still, double-clicking opens the first image, removing the need to open the folder.

    2. Ability to paste a link directly into VRipper without having to first click "Add link" or Ctrl+L. (I don't like clipboard monitoring as I like to see everything that's happening.)

    3. Add a setting (enabled by default) so that if a gallery thread doesn't download, VRipper will automatically try the URL of the first post in the thread, which often solves the problem.

    4. Add a setting (enabled by default) so that if the download is incomplete (due to old links), move to the next post in the thread and if there's a similar number of links, use them.

    5. (To recap what I said above) VRipper's default Viper Domain could be [Automatic]. This means that whenever you paste a link into VRipper, it automatically checks the domain, and if it's on the list, it switches to that domain.

Make sure your viper domain is set to vipergirls.to if that don't work i had to used a vpn to bypass the restrictions
But now vripper is working fine without a vpn. Hope this helps

    Re: VRipper (Cross-platform Gallery Ripper)

I can't seem to be able to download any of these images through the Viper Ripper, is there a reason for that? Not the first time it happens...
I don't even get a multiple selection option, just an error it can't find any galleries on the page...

Here is a request post of mine that received photos in a bulk post:

djased, I'm afraid this post suffers from the same issue as some of your requests - there's not enough clear information. Please remember to provide as much relevant detail as you can.

First of all, I'd like to confirm which ripper software you are actually using. I believe you were directed to this thread due to this discussion in which you specifically wrote "viperripper".

ViperRipper - is essentially obsolete. The last version was v2.1.2 released 17 Sep 2018 (see post #1 of this thread).

VRipper - is entirely different software, independently developed by theghooost. It is actively maintained. The latest version is v6.5.8 (see post #1 of an entirely different thread).

Which of these are you actually using and, more importantly, which version? Also, what Operating System are you using (name and version)?

Once you've answered these questions I can provide further guidance. Depending on the answers, I may have further questions.

Be aware, if you are actually using ViperRipper v2.1.2, simply switching to VRipper v6.5.8 may not work. There are other considerations. The solution to this problem depends on a number of factors.

    Re: VRipper (Cross-platform Gallery Ripper)

    Thank you -
I am using VRipper 3.6.0. I am using Windows 11.

It works for most of the time, but sometimes, like in that post, it doesn't find the images posted. For the most part it works well with images posted in this forum.

    Re: VRipper (Cross-platform Gallery Ripper)

theghooost, I have 3 more feature suggestions (in addition to my original 5)…

    6. In the settings there should be an "Organize by site" option, enabled by default. This creates sub-folders based on the Prefix/site. (For example, Allover30, ATKHairy, etc.)

    7. If we try to download a gallery that's already been previously downloaded, instead of the item just not appearing in the list (making us think there's an error), the item should reappear in the list, showing that it's complete. If the item was already still in the list, down the bottom, it should be moved up to the top, like a new item.

    8. Often, certain URLs will fail to process and won't even appear in the list. This means if we've pasted in a bunch of links, we have no way to know if one or two of them failed to process. It would be helpful if VRipper could report ALL errors, such as unrecognized URLs, or URLs not being processed properly (especially for those of us who don't use clipboard monitoring and prefer to enter lists of links. Ideally, when clipboard monitoring is off, VRipper should add ALL pasted URLs to the list, even if the URL is completely invalid. So we know which ones didn't go through.
