Issue with some photosets not showing on latest chrome beta?

For some reason, only on the latest chrome beta, certain imagesets thumbnail previews fail to load, even though the images are still online. Examples below will load in Firefox, Chrome stable and other browsers. But in chrome beta, no thumbnails show up. I tried troubleshooting with no luck. Can anybody else on beta test?

It seems like chrome beta may be blocking "non-encrypted" file hosters. Reason I say this is when I view the images on other browsers, they all give warnings that the site is only partially encrypted.

In your examples the host damimage.com is used which in some point in the past have been a deceptive site or served malware. As for Chrome specifically, they may be enforcing https (encrypted) on any served content which may have broken said image host. It is also showing up an ad blocker detector warning which to me implies the webmaster has some very deceptive ads running.

Anyway, the host is not on the approved image host list and cannot be used (anymore).

If you want to inspect what triggers the warning: open your Chrome beta, hit F12 (developer console), open the ViperGirls page with the thumbnails which do not load and check the network tab in the developer console or the console tab itself.

Got you. Have tried the network monitoring but for some reason the results disappear instantly. Either way, as long as this old host that's not supported is the only one with the issue, it should not be a problem going forward. I will keep an eye out if other hosts have this issue.

Having the same issue with imagezilla now on Chromebeta. Which is on the approved list.

Seems the site is non-HTTPS so chrome refuses to load the thumbnails.

It does look like Chrome is actively blocking non-secure connections on secure websites ("mixed content"). Since VG is a secure (SSL/HTTPS) website, Chrome may prevent the loading of embedded content (thumbnails) which are hosted on non-SSL/HTTPS sources.

I think it is time to ban image hosts which still have not deployed SSL since it is clearly affecting browsers now.

I'm not sure if google reversed their stance on blocking non-https items on https sites. Because all of the thumbnails for the non-https images now in fact load for me in the latest Chrome Beta.
