It's possible to use k2s as a free user. If linking from VG then one gets a decent connection and in my experience it's been about 200 kbs.

Actually Viper Uploader can upload to turboimagehost better than all the free hosts it supports. I tried to upload to imagebam or imgbox and they returned incomplete sets. This useful tool has not been upgraded for long and no new hosts added.
