    vipergirls.to in the UK

It appears vipergirls.to is blocked by some UK based providers for containing pornography.

You can check which UK provider blocks vipergirls.to here:
    - https://www.blocked.org.uk/site/http...s.to/forum.php

A block like that can also result in slowness and other odd connection issues such as very slow loading pages.

If you are affected, you can do the following:
    1) open your router and/or modem configuration page and change your DNS there from your ISP to those of Google or OpenDNS
    2) or alternatively, do the same but on your own device in Windows, Linux, MacOS.
    3) here is a tutorial about how to adjust your DNS: https://use.opendns.com/
    4) you may need to flush your DNS or possibly reboot your device for changes to take effect.

    Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4
    OpenDNS: 208.67.222.222 / 208.67.220.220
    DNS.WATCH: 84.200.69.80 / 84.200.70.40 (anonymous, no logging)

This most likely solves your issues and may also solve issues with the Viper Ripper.

Alternatively, use a VPN or ask your provider to turn off family filters or opt-out of any filters yourself your provider may have set up.

    Preffered DNS 208.122.23.22
    Alternate DNS 208.122.23.23

this will re-route your traffic via Open US proxy which is effective for most blocked sites.

    I haven't had any trouble, V.

But I'm not in the UK; I'm in England... maybe that explains it?

Its the uk filter that isp's have to do. You can opt in/out on your isp options. I think all new customers were auto included some time ago.

Do not think that VM is blocking per se. would also advise noting your default dns settings on your router before changing, and before using any new settings flush your dns cache.... tutorial here :- https://www.tech-faq.com/how-to-flush-dns.html

would recommend using VPN as per post by V.

it is a sign of things to come here in the UK all thinly disguised as keeping us safe.

I would advise UK users to bookmark some of these DNS tutorials against the day your ISP sends you a "Blocked site" message.

I would appreciate information regarding "free" VPN. This is an area I have not explored but as far as I am aware most VPN make a charge of some kind and I am still naive enough to believe that paying an ISP for connectivity should be the only cost of internet usage.

There are a bunch of free VPNs, but because they offer the service for free, you end up getting much slower speeds. Also a lot of the free VPNs have a limit to the amount of data you can use. So if you want to download, you will probably hit that limit way sooner than you think. Free VPNs also limit the country that you can "pretend" to be from.

My brother uses a VPN in China because everything there is blocked - porn, Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, Google etc. He has the app on his laptop and his phone. He just enables it and boom, it's like he never left the US. Everything works as normal. With the UK becoming more draconian in terms of restricting things - torrents, porn etc, I feel a VPN is really the best choice these days. At least with a VPN you can access everything and anything like you always could. Many VPNs offer great deals most are around $3-6 a month when you buy a yearly plan although I remember seeing a VPN offering a lifetime subscription for $50 on one of my tech sites last week. Not sure how good that VPN was but there are good choices/prices if you shop around. All paid VPNs will give you unlimited downloading and usually have very fast traffic. You can also choose the country node you want to be connected too. I think a paid VPN is a small price to pay for some download access comfort.
