depfile ban

An increasing number of uploaders seem to be using depfile to repeatedly spam the same content over and over. This has been going on for a while so depfile was contacted but they do not seem to particularly care. I do not think vipergirls.to has sufficient weight or importance with them either so my options as this forum's representative are limited. Hosts such as keep2share and rapidgator seem to have a much better attitude in this regard.

Just banned them. We cannot control them.

Which is bullshit as they can just lock the spammers account or at the very least send the uploader a polite message to respect any incurred ban on the forum they're posting on.

So I'm planning to ban depfile and give them a double dose of . If anyone else thinks they can get through to depfile, feel free to try and report here. Otherwise they'll get banned within a few days.

I've had an idea of how to handle it on a forum I've thought to cr8 (closed one), but it will require assistance of those hosts and it would look like this:

Every user has unique id. Hosts should provide those id's in page source, where eventually you'll be able to identify those users, remove their posts and ban them automatically by grabbing it's id.

If people are abusing a file host or image host or whatever just ban those people. Banning a file host because some idiots use it is ridiculous. Depositfiles has been around for about 15 years. It's like banning cars because people speed or drive drunk.

DepFile and Depositfiles are two different hosting services. I agree that Depositfiles is fine; I actually wish more people used it here.

I have Deposit File account and it's much faster than k2s or RS , or any other's I've tried . Ban the user - not the Service . I personally have not encountered any problems with spammers , only the picture sites with Malware or Virus's if I happen to click on a preview picture . ViperRipper doesn't seem to be affected by this .

Seems to be a big confusion among the commenters here. So clarifying for you guys. Depfile and Depositfile ARE two different hosts. The host in question is depfile.

My 1p's worth:

I was of the understanding that
ViperGirls had zero tolerance policy
for child pornography.
If for no other reason than this host
appears to have absolutely no issues
with holding onto large amounts of
c/p distributed throughout its clientele,
then ban the fuck out of them.
To be honest I am surprised there is
even a discussion here - and yes I
am aware that c/p is not the topic
paramount in deciding whether to
ban this host, more so repeat content spamming.

I don't see the point of banning the host because of some greedy bastards multi uploading. Ban them instead. It should be simple. Also anyone uploading on premium only. Get rid of them!
