After a while your hands will get all prune-y like you’ve been in the hot tub too long. So the baby powder soaks some of that up and keeps your hands nice and dry. Well for a while anyway.
So we can grab things. Lube helps you get things on but it makes the latex slide on your skin so much so that it is difficult to grasp things. Rather than twisting a bottle cap the latex will just slide across your hand. Most likely eventually breaking the glove.
So while the powder helps you get the latex on it still sticks enough to allow you to grasp things. But this is also just our personal preference.
