Well...
I dont like the trend overall - this takes away a lot of incentive to post. Many fine pic sets are now no longer available on the web. Imagebam came back from the dead - but when it did, many pics were lost and now sets are incomplete. There is going to be a significant shift away from gallery posting. It's almost like: what's the point???
Dont know what this "betterads.org standard" is all about - sounds like complete bullshit. Look folks, I still get half a dozen phone calls a day from some knucklehead trying to sell me security, solar, whatever. "Betterads.org" won't change the web either- you will still get plastered with as many pop-ups as before.
Overall, a big, net loss for our modest hobby here.

The betterads standard is an ads standard developed by Google. Websites not adhering to the standard and whose visitors use the Chrome browser will potentially see all ads on that website disabled until the webmaster makes the necessary changes. The standard already has changed the web. From lawsuits against Google to advertising platforma enforcing an acceptable advertisements standard. Give it a month or so until most domains have been checked and you should see a decrease in ads when using Chrome.

It is indeed a shame. Don't know about other things but main reason I use them is because they have best upload options. Big thumbnail size, upload from url. It is rare to find. The fact they pay is just another plus.
