Hotel California is generally considered to be the Eagles' masterpiece, and has appeared on several lists of the best albums of all time; it is also easily their best-selling studio album, with 16 million copies sold to date in the US. The title track itself is widely recognized as one of the greatest Classic rock songs of all time, and Don Felder's guitar work in particular is one of the most recognizable in all of rock history.
