Encountered a new host in use.

https://skyve.io - Deceptive host, advertisement minefield. Potentially tries to deliver unwanted software.

My experience...

Minefield #1


- Click Download File loads ads- Forced to navigate back to page. Repeated attempts result in same behaviour.
- Click on Server1 or Server 2 loads ads in new tab.
- Click on Create Download Link loads new page

Minefield #2


- Click on Server 1 or Server 2 more ads.
- Click on Download File... Redirect to a new page


Click on this download and potentially get unwanted software

Navigate back to previous page and click on create Download Link again and download starts.

Is it ok to use a video hoster which doesn't offer a free option, or which you can restrict download to only those who are premium members, so only those who subscribe to the hoster can download the vids?

No. When choosing a file host to upload to, members must abide by the Global Rules.

However, there is a distinction to be made in regards to posts submitted by members, and posts submitted via bot to the External Services section, which is relevant to the link that you provided.

Yep, they are the same shitty company with a different domain. I agree with the ban request.

I turned off the ad-blocker and hit the Download Now button. It opened a random URL in a new tab then redirected to Yahoo.com.
Then i tried clicking on the "play" button on the video. Opened a new tab with this lovely screen (video still didn't play)



Too much user information on this URL.
