I just checked imagebam. They aren't using https plus I get his message from their site:

It always says that whether you're running an ad-blocker or not and has no effect whatsoever uploading content. Their SSL is partly implemented but is fully implemented when viewing images in a new window beyond the pop-ups.
I've got no complaint against imagebam about the adblocker upload message as I don't use it for uploading. I don't get any popups from them when opening pictures and that's probably because I have an adblocker running. I checked a few minutes ago and there is still no https when the pictures display. I'm not complaining about that either as imagebam is a reliable host and easy to use. I was just pointing out that VG requires image hosts to use https and I don't see it on imagebam. I don't, however, want to see the host banned.
The thumbnails work over https and are forced over https by VG. That is sufficient. The idea is that whatever appears on VG is securely loaded and linked-to.
As for imagebam.com specifically, they do seem to suffer from some misconfiguration.

If you open pictures in a new tab or window (the direct URL full size) you should see the "https". I run an ad-blocker as well and don't receive the pop-ups either when clicking on thumbnails; just a gray empty box at the bottom and content uploads without problem.
The "Adblock Plus" they specifically refer to on the site, that I can't speak for.
Agreed, but Imagebam's longevity has proven that it's one of the more reliable image hosts out there today.

Yes, they'll get banned if this behavior persists. Banning TOR is one thing, as that communication network is heavily abused in the distribution of child pornography. Whereas banning VPN's is frowned upon given the age of privacy we live in and how it is needed to access the Internet in some places to begin with. If they're having issues with VPN's, they can rate limit the abusive IP's instead or alternatively require an additional captcha.

Administration, I ask you to consider the photo hosting Imagetwist, this is an old and reliable photo hosting, it has been working for a very long time. It is not very convenient to upload to a separate hosting for posting. But I really want to post with you further.

It's not going to happen for imagetwist.com though in the future we may explore white label type of deals with image hosts. Even then, it will be another domain on which it is launched and not the main site.

some image sets have been hosted on vipr, neither Viper Ripper nor ImageHost Grabber work on it, is there any way to fix this?
First, create a new cough.
Follow the image and enter this and this image host will also work. I have tried it myself and it works great.
