This is one of the few porn movies I have seen back to back several times which puts it right up there with Emmanuelle, and Debbie Does Dallas.

It is porn movie with a real story. The acting is sometimes pretty bad, but it is worth watching, and I personally think that some scenes hilareous (but maybe I'm a sick puppy).

Warning: This is both a porn movie and a horror movie, so some parts are very violent and Liz Vicious kills everybody she fucks!

The old man died a couple of years ago, so it is still a secret where he got it from. Nevertheless It was much appreciated at the time.

I'm proud to say that this was one of the first porn movies I ever watched, not realising then it was somewhat of a classic and groundbreaking movie. And in a true clichèd fashion, it led to my first proper sexual experience with the girl next door .... thanks in part to the long drawn out slomo scenes of cum spurting. Oh the fond memories. Anyway, on to the review.

Behind the Green Door (1972)

Another classic before the internet was was born. On researching this movie years later, it turns out that along with "Deepthroat" and "The Devil in Miss Jones", this was one of the movies that launched the so-called "Golden Era of Porn" in the 70s, which made porn "Chic" and highly commercialized. It has grossed a staggering $60 million dollars at the box office to date, not an insignificant sum for 70s produced movie of any sort.
It thrust Marilyn Chambers into porn stardom and is reputedly the first American produced porn film with an inter-racial scene.

The source story was an anonymous underground work of fiction that had been circulating for decades before brothers Artie and Jim Mitchell brought it to the (X-rated) screen.
Some reviews mention that the camera work was hailed as groundbreaking for a porn movie at the time but of course by todays standards ... well not really that great.

I wouldn't put this in the 'crème de la crème' as Sandy put it, but it certainly has it's place in the history of the American Porn industry.

Plot

A wealthy San Francisco socialite, Gloria Saunders (Chambers), is taken against her will to an elite North Beach sex club and loved "as she's never been loved before". There she engages in lesbian sex with a group of six women, for some reason all dressed in black, before being brought out wearing a white dress on stage through the green door.

The silent, largely masked audience become increasingly aroused as her white dress is removed and she is stroked, kissed and given cunnilingus by the women. Her first heterosexual sex is with the African-American boxer Johnnie Keyes, accompanied by a jazz soundtrack. Over 45 minutes, he gives her more cunnilingus and then they have sexual intercourse, while Gloria continues to be stroked by the other women. When she has an orgasm, the sex stops and he is not shown to ejaculate.

Gloria then mounts a trapeze contraption suspended from the ceiling and then engages in vaginal intercourse with one man as she performs oral sex on another and masturbates two others. The audience become further aroused and begin having sex with each other in what becomes an orgy. In a psychedelic key sequence, an ejaculation is shown with semen flying through the air for almost seven minutes. The film features several multicolored, optically printed, slow-motion close-ups of money shots. This is the only ejaculation sequence in the film. The narrator then runs from the audience onto the stage and carries Gloria off through the green door. The film ends with him and Gloria making love alone.

When I decided to start a thread on GGGs (July 2015) I searched for the best forums & I decided to use ViperGirls mainly because the dedication & character of the people involved in it (the administrators & moderators).

Check, for example, the improvement obtained in global positions during the last 10 months:

As you can see, while ViperGirls is more than 1,000 positions far away from the 5th place (FreeOnes) with almost 500,000 more daily pageviews, VG is virtually tied with PlanetSuzy at the 3rd place (with less than 75,000 daily pageviews of difference).

To reach the second place is not an impossible task but implies to double the daily pageviews and maybe the best way to obtain it is to get more viewers from new countries. The current viewing map of VG according to Alexa is this one:
