video thumbnail makers

hi folks

anyone have any recommendations for a decent thumbnail maker ?

I have the one from scorp but it drives me mad and tends to timeout more times than it completes, and i can't seem to find the settings

I've more posts on the way as soon as i can resolve this, but i can't post a vid without a preview.

I personally use EzThumb and does the job, it was recommended by twat on this post, so check it out you may have alternatives to check, there are also good recommendations on that thread so make sure to check it out!

The excellent Media Player Classic also has a very simple video thumbnail maker.

Scorp video thumbmaker is the best software out there for making video previews for the nooby....im using a cracked portable premium version that was posted on my great forum TC....I dont know why this software times out for you,ive been using scorp since i started my oil painting porn career here and its never timed out for me ever and there are shitloads of easy to follow settings under the options tab....you can easily make vid previews in webp webm gif h264/mp4 h265/mp4 and theora forms....this software is so easy to use even a brass monkey can use it....pity you cant view my legendary collection threads in the hidden sections i normally post a vid preview with each of my collections along with the pic set from sites i personally cracked....i fooking love it

maybe it might be my old comp, but it just seems to take it's time and once it gets to 4mins it times out, i'm sure there will be a setting somewhere to change this but i just can't find it, but then i am a dumb ass.

I've been using it for years without issues, it seems to be more for the modern high def vids, seems to be straining, i am only on a free copy of cause,

could be your codecs....as i can do 4k 30-40 min vid previews in 2-3 mins....if the above video previews are sticky for you etc....maybe you need to update codecs with k-lite for example and use engine 2, this option allows you to use codecs via your pc and use the crystal engine as a secondary or vice versa....you will see engine options when you open the proggie (see screenie below) ....the ultimate engine is only available with premium.....ps im not sure you have the option of having a video preview with the free version....ive never used free so im not sure ... when i use new software i dick about with it as im a great believer in learning using the trial and error method....many brain farts but rewarding when you get the hang of it.....then its major erection time .....anyways i wish you success in your quest mr robinwood....if you are like me you will love the challenge of going from noob to becoming a master....learning shit is fun

i'm very similar, i was very active in forums 15-20 years ago, always used the scorp one, so now coming back outta retirement i went for what i knew, but how times have moved on, its been a crash cause trying to catch back up with everything.

But i'm having fun, the reaction from one of my threads kinda made me stop here and make vipergirls my new home.

Now if i can get this sorted, its back to the party.

i was looking towards the codecs as suggested, it seems like the free version want's you to pay for this.

However in doing so i found the timeout setting, whacked it up to the max, and i'm off again, it may be slow but i'm back in the party woo hoo

good to see your back in the game ultimate engine is premium only but the internal crystal engine should be free ,that said i love happy endings ...congrats buddy
