Let’s keep in mind that this thread is intended as a support channel, both for members troubleshooting issues with IMX and for IMX representatives to provide assistance. Unlike other hosts that are unresponsive, IMX is one of the few image hosts that actively engages with our community and responds to feedback.

To clarify a point: services like Keep2Share, FileJoker, and Rapidgator are not alternatives to IMX. They're file hosts, not image hosts — they do not support gallery-based image viewing or inline display, which is essential for how content is shared and browsed here.

IMX is designed for browser-based viewing of image galleries, and in that context, it performs its role effectively. When logged in, users enjoy an ad-free experience and full access to hosted content. The DDoS protection measures (such as those from DDoS-Guard) are common among free platforms and are necessary to prevent abuse. While these protections may sometimes interfere with third-party tools like downloaders or rippers, that does not mean the host is broken or unfit for purpose.

As has been pointed out many times, IMX remains a popular choice among major uploaders. That alone reflects their confidence in the platform’s reliability and user reach. If IMX were truly unworkable, uploaders would move elsewhere. Instead, their continued use of IMX effectively expresses ongoing support.

If there are specific technical issues with IMX as an image host, feel free to detail them here so they can be addressed. If there are ripper based technical issues, feel free to address them in their respective threads.

Calls for a Ban should be a last resort, not the first response.

Image uploads are too slow... sometimes so slow that you don't feel like uploading anything... could it be that the IMX servers are overloaded?

504 - Gateway Timeout . That’s an error.

We did not receive a timely response from the upstream server. That’s all we know.

I've got this error since Propably wednesday. My location is Central Europe, but I tried different VPN locations and above error comes, when I connect from Norway, and Poland.

Having issues again. A lot of galleries don't show at all. Switching countries in a VPN sometimes resolved this. Now it seems to be completely broken.

Let me add that if this is some measure that IMX.to has taken to reduce the stress on their servers, it's a self-defeating one, because ultimately it will lead people away from it.

What really pisses me off is constantly having to pass CAPTCHA tests to view random images... which is quite frequently seeing as IMX.to is by far the most widely used image host on these forums. This also happens to be one of several reasons why I refuse to use IMX for uploads any more. If it pisses me off then no doubt it irritates others too. I have pointed this out before but IMX have neither responded directly nor made any efforts to address this issue.

I SOOO appreciate this! It's tedious af to save 1 image at a time via IMX.to! So I've just given up on galleries uploaded to IMX. <3

I noticed that some content chasers started to play a mean trick, they don't take down the whole gallery but just one or few pictures... I reupload the gallery in question and the same thing happens!
