When logged in, users enjoy an ad-free experience and full access to hosted content. The DDoS protection measures (such as those from DDoS-Guard) are common among free platforms and are necessary to prevent abuse. While these protections may sometimes interfere with third-party tools like downloaders or rippers, that does not mean the host is broken or unfit for purpose.
As has been pointed out many times, IMX remains a popular choice among major uploaders. That alone reflects their confidence in the platform’s reliability and user reach. If IMX were truly unworkable, uploaders would move elsewhere. Instead, their continued use of IMX effectively expresses ongoing support.
If there are specific technical issues with IMX as an image host, feel free to detail them here so they can be addressed. If there are ripper based technical issues, feel free to address them in their respective threads.
Calls for a Ban should be a last resort, not the first response.
