Stop vipr.im from auto downloading images

On this host alone, when I click a thumbnail to see an image full-screen in a new tab, the image automatically downloads to my computer. It happens on firefox, chrome, and edge browsers. I just wanted to see a bigger picture of the girl, not clutter my hard drive. Try it yourself https://vipergirls.to/threads/150137...s-(9-Jun-2025)
    Any suggestions?

If you have ViperRipper and/or VRipper installed check to make sure that clipboard monitoring is turned off. If it's turned on then sets will download automatically when you click on an image.

I can confirm it downloads instead of full sizes the photo upon clicking.
I disabled no-script for Vipr.im and reloaded everything, now clicking full sizes it in the site's little "full size viewer mode" script. Shift + click opens the image in a new window.
So I guess, if you are blocking scripts, it may just download it.

I've checked the source code of this gallery mentioned in the first post --> https://vipergirls.to/threads/150137...s-(9-Jun-2025) and looks like they started to use a new shiny thing called "Fancybox" on their site.

"What does that do?" you may ask. Well, it displays images on a transparent black background with some arrows/icons for easier navigation. But for some reason, that thing didn't work on your browsers and downloaded images instead of displaying it with a fancy style as seen below

You may have to check and do some basic technical stuff on your devices for a solution:

First of all, go to your browser settings and search for the term "download". This is for Firefox browser, it should be similar in Edge and Chrome. Turn all "automatic downloads" OFF. This is important for your overall online safety too, you must be aware of whenever a malicious site wants to transfer a shitty thing on your devices...

Now second phase, you need to clear your browser cache and cookies:

    Why Clear Cache and Cookies?

Clearing the cache and cookies from a web browser is an important first-step for almost any troubleshooting for internet browsing. The 'cache' is a tool used by your internet browser to speed up the page loading process. However, sometimes it can cause a problem when websites are updated and developed as files saved in the cache may conflict with what's actually coded into the website. Clearing cache and cookies is a way we can be sure that any issues you may come across are actually something wrong with the website, rather than inconsistencies caused by using different browsers.

Find your browser on this page and follow the instructions:

Some technical info for the curious:

    Fancybox

Fancybox is the ultimate JavaScript lightbox alternative that sets the standard for premium user experience in multimedia display. Supports images, videos, maps, inline content, iframes and any other HTML content.

This is the fifth generation of Fancybox. Both Carousel and Panzoom components are used under the hood and that's what makes this project so unique. In addition, Fancybox is easy to integrate into any JavaScript framework, see samples for React, Vue and Angular.

    Key Features
    • Written in TypeScript, no external dependencies
    • Highly customizable with plenty of configuration options and CSS variables
    • Touch and mobile optimized with swipe, drag and pinch-to-zoom gestures
    • Multiple opened (active) instances at the same time

Brilliant fix with a detailed solution. Those browser settings should be default. Mahalo for your help ☼
