Hi I seem to be having issues with viper ripper. It will not open. Even when I try using portable version when I try to upload a link for downloading it gives me an error window saying Link doesn't belong to viper.to. Are there technical issues happening?

I have had this issue today, i have tried uninstalling and re-installing without success.
i realise that support for viper ripper has ceased but I hope others have managed to solve this problem.

As far as I know, the ViperRipper app only supports post URL's from the main vipergirls.to site

Any of the proxy URL's available for this site likely will not work with either ViperRipper or older versions of VRipper (I believe the VRipper app was recently updated and so it's latest incarnation might actually now support downloading from the various proxy URL's).

As a test, try pasting in and manually editing one of your 'viper.to' URL's so that it reads 'vipergirls.to' before submitting the link and starting the download.

My laptop closed down unexpectedly and now when I try to load Viper Ripper, I get a message saying

"Exiting due to: Unexpected error! Try deleting 'user' folder.

I'm using Windows 10 and I don't have a clue where this folder is. Any help would be appreciated.

I'll presume (because I use the portable version of the app and not the installer version) that ViperRipper installs itself either in C:/Program Files/ or, more likely, in C:/Program Files (x86)/

Either that or it installs itself somewhere in C:/Users/{username}/AppData/Roaming/ (to view and access this location you'll need to enable 'show hidden files and folders' in Windows settings)

Whichever location it actually is though, I'll guess the 'user' folder is most likely right there at the top level in that installed ViperRipper program folder.

Speaking of which, I have a question for all of you lovely people that are having issues with ViperRipper.

Did you install the 'installer' version of the app (vr_v212i), or did you download and are trying to use the 'portable' version of the app (vr_v212p) ?

I ask because the portable version of ViperRipper does still seem to work just fine, just as long as you use links based on vipergirls.to URL's, and you're not trying to pull images from one of the couple of imagehosts that ViperRipper is incompatible with (e.g. the app predates vipr.im by a few years at least, and at least a couple of other previously compatible hosts changed their sites in that time too).

Just getting to grips with Viper Ripper, Can anyone tell me what the Red, Yellow, Green dots represent when trying to download images? To the left of the Job tab.

It's been more than a year since I last used ViperRipper so I'm explaining what I can remember.

Red means no download.

Yellow means that some, but not all images download.

Green means all images downloaded.
