    Re: Viper Ripper (Windows)

Hi V, much as I love the ripper 3 things I have noticed over time:

    1) This version and the previous one take forever to parse multi-post threads. Previously ripper would slow down as the history file got larger, now even with an empty history file ripper very quickly slows to a crawl parsing larger (sometimes 30 or fewer posts) threads can easily take minutes between entries in the list box.
    2) For the last several versions ripper just stops monitoring the clipboard, I'm not sure how far back this goes but there was definitely a point when this behaviour started. Whenever this happens I just back out or ripper and restart, most times the list contents are preserved.
    3) This also for the last several versions, at one point the URL box at the top of the UI would contain the URL being parsed, this would help when the list parsing slows down to know that the current thread was still being parsed and when completed the URL would clear. For the last several versions this has not been the case.
My apologies if this seems like a rant but I wanted to make sure that these problems were known

    Hey Guys,

I had no problems installing the Version 1.15 und Autostart is functional again. GREAT!

But there's an issue that I have, and I guess you allready know about that...
Often Cover-Pics don't get loaded and the download stops with one file as error.
A fix for that would just be great... Perhaps a blacklist as text filew that useres can edit. To exclude links separated line by line?

    Example:
    https://imx.to/u/*
    http://url.ru/upload/*

Check your PM, I sent you a link to 1.13, which I still use myself. Works fine for now, until the bugs in the newer versions are fixed.

    Re: Viper Ripper (Windows)

The new Viper Ripper portable works very well here (Windows 8.1).
I have been using the same installation directory for the last 5 versions.
But I had to create a new settings file to use the same settings as before.

I have only one suggestion for improvement:
Please add a new button so we can mark several jobs to retry.

What do we do if the install didn't create the .bat file?

Install doesn't create bat file, running app for first time does.

    Suggestion for Viper Ripper

    Hello Vipers,

I would like to suggest, to add option to select odd even or alternative images in "Image List" tick box.
sometime the downloading thread gallery is too big, some time it contains more then 500 pics may be near 1000.
so its easy to select half of them images in just one click!
for easy quick fast download, just add option to image list window, near Select all. link in the screenshort
    .

please add this feature in future update!

Got the same error. But for me it works, when i manually start VR and click "Download images". But only after modifying the viperripper.bat: the line "echo %1=%2 > "files\param.txt" has to be the absolute path. After changing the path, the download link works. After changing the bat you have to remove the write permission otherwise the Viperripper.exe overwites the viperripper.bat.

    Can anybody reproduce that behavior?
