I tried downloading viper ripper and got a virus alert from Avast. I'm fairly sure it's a false positive, does anyone know for sure that it's safe? Thanks

If you download the ripper through the download links in the first post, then yes it is safe. You can download the package and upload it to https://virustotal.com to verify.

Sorry for this (first) post, but I've got a problem with Viper Ripper: the "Download Images" link doesn't launch the program. I'm logged in on the website and in the app.

How can I solve this?

If you have the Viper Ripper program open then clicking on the "Download images" button should download the images. Another way to try is to copy the URL of the thread you want to download, and paste it into Viper Ripper. Or, if you enable copy buffer monitoring, you can just copy the URL and it will start downloading automatically.

VR is not working with turboimagehost this evening but it did this morning. Any known issues? It's working fine with other image hosts.

Can the Ripper pleased be fixed so that it doesn't change the extension of every file to .jpeg - it is unnecessary and very annoying having to do batch re-naming.

Regarding when VR stops listening to the clipboard, I am suspecting VR is getting an internal error between locking the clipboard for reading and unlocking it. When it appears to stop listening, the clipboard remains locked until I restart VR, I cannot copy anything, not just links.

Still not working with turboimagehost but VR works fine with other approved hosts. Other users have same problem. Looks like turboimagehost changed something and VR may need an update.

The problem I'm having with v2.1.2 is the "get original file names."

If you turn it on, it starts the file name with the with the post # instead of the file name on the posting site.

I don't know if anybody had / has this Issue too...

If I ad a link and VR can't finish it (for example 170 Pics and 10 with error), I then start that one again until it is 100 % and green instead of yello.
If I ad that link again VR will treat it as if it was completely new. Only if it runs through at the first attempt with 0 errors VR treats it as Already done before.

Yes, I get that behavior too. It has been that way since the red/yellow/green buttons were implemented.
