Nicola Charles played Sarah Beaumont- a disgraced high-society English model who moved to Ramsey Street and became a disgraced low-class English marriage-wrecker instead. She would eventually run out of friends and favour but wasn’t helped by her terrible luck with flatmates- at one time or another opening her doors to a psychopath, an escaped convict and finally a ventriloquist- and also her rather careless disposition, which saw her fall over a cliff while playing golf and being bitten in the bush by an amorous snake.
