When you look back at Galitsins early work , the vast majority of it is very tame. Even amateurish.

A COUPLE OF STUPID DECISIONS COST HIM BIG TIME..

The model known as Maye was photographed by Rylsky not Galitsin.

Amateurish - yes, tame - by today's standards certainly (IMHO). Don't forget, though, that this was a photographer learning his craft and having to compete with more established heavy-weight nude photographers in Russia. What I find commendable was that he stuck to his stylistic vision throughout his career, and made the most of the limited props, clothing, backdrops etc that he had available at any specific time.

All those that were published during the Master's lifetime Rontom. There are some that the Master didn't want to publish for various reasons; I hope to be able to do so here at some point in the future!
