Script Functions

• Single Post Threads

1.Copy URLs
Copies (newline) the full-res URLs of all images in a post to the clipboard.
The links can then be pasted into a download manager (idm, jdownloader,...) and download the full gallery.

2.View Gallery
• Displays a scrollable inlay showing all post's thumbnails in a grid.
• Clicking the thumbnail opens the full-res image in a new tab bypassing any intermediary pages.
• The download buttons download the full-res images.
• Select multiple images and download them with one click. Choose between ZIP and direct image donwload.

3. Download ZIP
Downloads images into browser RAM, then zips them and downloads the ZIP file to your system.

4. Download Images
Images are sequentially downloaded one by one to your system.
Incompatible with Android.

5. Title Copy Button
Adds a button next to thread title that copies the thread title to the clipboard.

• Multi-Post Threads

1.Batch Download
Download multiple posts on a page in a single queue. Choose between ZIP and direct image donwload.

2. Post Preview
• Hovering over a post number brings up a scrollable preview panel that shows all images in that post.
• Pressing the post number takes you down to the post.

Instructions

1. The script works on Firefox and Chromium browsers (eg Brave) on PC and on Firefox and its forks on Android.
2. Download Tampermonkey for Firefox or Chromium
3. Only for Chromium, go to Settings --> Extensions --> open Tampermonkey extension page
   A. On the top right, turn on Developer mode
   B. Scroll down, enable Allow User Scripts
4. Go to the Tampermonkey settings tab
   A. Under General, change Config mode to Advanced.
   B. Under Downloads BETA, change Download Mode to Browser API, press Save.
5. Go to the Utilities tab --> Import from file --> browse for the Viper Script on your system --> Install.
6. Turn off Ask Where to Save Files Before Downloading in browser settings.

Usage

1. After editing or activating the script, you must reload any opened Viper pages.
2. Before pressing the resolver button, open an image to make sure the script doesn't run into an intermediary "continue to image" page, then reload the viper page. No need to do that for IMX.
3. The "Download Posts" button appears when a thread has 2 or more posts containing images. It always appends to the top post of any page.
4. A post can have multiple resolver buttons, one for each supported image host detected.
5. Download ZIP; unlimited concurrent downloads for threads with multiple posts. However multiple very large albums may crash the tab/browser.
6. Download Images; unlimited concurrent downloads;
   A. Firefox dumps all images directly into the downloads folder. It doesn't create folders for posts.
   B. Chromium creates a folder for each post and downloads images inside the folder.
7. Must use Viper's desktop mode on Android.
8. Hover over the host resolver button to reveal the settings button. After changing the settings, press Save then reload the page.

Nice.. I've been thinking about userscript based downloads. Thank you for making these..

Couple of things btw..

1. I think it would be better if you upload the scripts to multiple places. for example greasyfork & github.

2. Thank you for being transparent about it being vibe-coded.

3. I've seen a userscript project in github that downloads full images in a page as zip file. The whole download runs inside the browser. No additional download manager required. But, their project is focused on only 1 hentai website. I am wondering if something similar can be done for VG as well. Coincidentally, I too came across a similar script to the one you linked that had the same fuctions that included downloading images in a post as zip. It was actually the impetus for me to create a userscript for viper for personal use.

I have no intention of putting it on github since I am not a coder and if I were, I wouldn't upload such ai drivel on there.
There're a couple of changes/fixes to the scripts i plan on making then I'll leave it at that.

I encourage anyone to modify the scripts and improve on them

Shows as trying to download, though gives message "unknown time left"

Any ideas as to what might be going wrong?

Maybe catbox.moe is being blocked or throttled by your ISP.. or, it can be a problem with your downloader tool.. or, it can be a problem with your anti-virus software as well.

You can use my mediafire link from the above post to download the script. Infact, it's better because pixhost domain change is solved in my posted one.

If you have any trouble downloading from pixhost, be sure to use the updated version of the script.

oh btw, the zip has a password.. vipergirls
The password is written inside the zip as a note. I thought that would be easily noticeable, lol.

The resolver button was on the first iteration of the script. It's removed on the second version because it was redundant.

I had to open the zip in BreeZip instead of Windows Explorer.

Well, you cannot open the zip to read the note to view the password until you have the password.....
